Audacious Beer Celebration to Fund Lake County Rotary Gifts and Programs

Third annual Lake Country Rotary community festival—The Audacious Beer Celebration—promises to make a big impact and taste great!

The Lake Country Rotary Club will host its third annual World Class Beer Tasting—The Audacious Beer Celebration--June 26th and June 27th at Nixon Park in Hartland. All proceeds from the Audacious Beer Celebration event will fund the Lake Country Rotary Club’s donations to various charities and worthy causes.

The Audacious Beer Celebration will feature tasting of over 177 of the World’s Best Beers. In addition there will be cheese pairings, food a la carte, live music, and fireworks during the event. The Audacious Celebration will be Saturday, June 27th from 3pm – 11pm. The event is part of Hartland’s overall Hometown Celebration Weekend.

The Lake Country Rotary Club, ninety members strong, is an organization of business and professional leaders united worldwide through Rotary, providing humanitarian service, encouraging high ethical standards in all vocations, and building goodwill and peace in the world. Lake Country Rotary President, Scott Peterson, described the club: “Rotary’s cornerstone, ‘service above self’, is reflected in the personal and professional lives of each and every member of the club. In addition to being a great celebration for our community, the Audacious Beer Celebration is one of our two major fundraisers critical to our club’s ongoing philanthropy.”

Some of the local beneficiaries of the funds raised include: Arrowhead and Kettle Moraine High School Scholarships, Angels Grace Hospice, Boys and Girls Club—Camp Whitcomb/Mason, Waukesha’s C.A.R.E. center for abused children, and all of the Lake Country area food pantries. On a global scale, the Lake Country Rotary has budgeted $8,000 this fiscal year to fund annual vision and dental missions to Haiti—serving hundreds of men, women, and children otherwise without access to basic services. Additionally, the club makes a sizable annual contribution to the Rotary International Foundation, supporting worldwide polio eradication efforts, clean water projects, and catastrophe relief efforts.
